Norton & Associates is a family run company, providing a wide range of surveys for both large corporations and private individuals. They offer a comprehensive range of services including vegetation mapping, tree surveys, ecological reports and structural surveys. It was important to create a friendly, rural website that would provide credability and inspire confidence when a potential client reaches the website. Norton did not want to go through a complete rebrand so we chose a strong font, Clarendon which is a slab-serif typeface that was published in 1845.
The website needed to provide clear navigation to the many services that Norton provide. Each service needed to provide clear case studies on each area of the business. We opted for a visually strong approach making use of high quality photography to engage visitors quickly.

As a focus area for Norton is working for rail services we wanted to immediately convey that information to a visitor when the home page loaded.
We opted to a long scrolling page which explained Norton’s story as you scrolled down the page..
This then led visitors to relevant parts of the website dependent on their requirements.
These sections directed users to Norton’s main offerings.
Imagery was mostly custom shot to ensure the website did not end up with too many stock pictures This ensures it having a personalised design that exactly conveys Norton’s approach.
Norton’s website is fully responsive to ensure it provides the best experience on any platforms.
